PixelSquid has come a long way in the almost 3 years since we launched. When we started we were focused purely on the power of our PSD files, but we quickly realized that the big breakthrough with what we offered came from the Spinners. Choosing from over 200 angles for each 3D object and then grabbing a pixel-perfect PNG or PSD (no masking required) has been a hit with designers and photographers around the globe. We also made designing with PixelSquid even easier and faster when we launched our free Photoshop plug-in.
On 2/20/18, we’ve got some adjustments coming to our pricing plans:
- Monthly: Changing from $14.99/month to $19.99/month
- Annual: Changing from $119.99/year to $199/year
- A la carte: Changing from $7.99/object to $12.99/object
Why Change Prices?
When we launched, we had just over 3,000 objects available. Today we’re closing in on the 18,000 mark and we’re showing no signs of slowing down in 2018. We believe that the larger catalog represents a significant increase in the value of PixelSquid. That growth has been powered by 3D artists who publish models in exchange for a share of the revenue. Our price adjustment will also allow us to pay out even more royalties to those artists, which will drive the publishing of even more content to the site.
No Change for Active Subscribers!
If you’re paying for a PixelSquid subscription, you keep the price of your current subscription plan for as long as it remains active. And we’re giving non-subscribers a chance to get the same deal! Subscribe before 2/20/18, and you’ll have your price locked in as well. If you cancel your subscription after the price adjustments, you will only be able to re-subscribe at the new price points.
